Created in 1909 (then called Suzuki Loom Works), Suzuki Motors Corporation established a Canadian branch in 1979. Three cars (SX4 Hatchback, SX4 Sedan, Swift+) and two SUVs (Grand Vitara et le XL7) can be purchased from any of the 96 Canadian dealers. In fall 2008, the Equator pickup truck will join the product lineup.
