I've may have only had my Freelander for 2 months but I'm still glowing like the 1st week... A combination of rugged Off-road traction, pavement hugging stability & a BMW "sporty" engine that has to be kept in check to stay legal... It's a true off roader that loves city life. Thanks LandRover!

I was very dissapointed by the Freelander. The fit and finish and the materials used for the interior were very poor. So bad that the steering wheel/column mounted controls broke... The engine seriously lacked power (5A) and the seating position was just plain unconfortable. The only good thing was the handling that was very impressive for an SUV.

What, you like the freelander? Was your last car a Chevy Cavalier? I have never seen a new car made as poorly, or priced so expensively as this piece of trash. Interior parts were squeeking, rattling and falling off of my test car, it has lousy acceleration, only moderately decent handling and looks like a Honda CR-V (old model), which is the basis for its body/chassis architecture - Honda co-developed it with Rover in the mid-90s. The Jeep Liberty is by far better in every respect, including handling now that it has been lowered. Its interior quality far surpasses the Land Rover, it has more and better executed luxury features, its 4x4 ability walks all over the freeloader and a slightly better slalom. What's more it's about $10K less expensive. Do the math. Stay away from this one...

Just a minute people the vehicles we get in Canada are far different than those that are available in the US they even have different interior packages,I used to work on Jeeps back when a Jeep really was a good 4x4,we used to get some american models WOW were they ever different in every way possible, engine output, drive line, Interior finish, paint color choices, and accessories galor,so maybe he really does like his Land Rover,it's better finished than the ones we get.
