If anyone owns or has test-driven this vehicle, I'd love to hear any comments, whether positive or negative. I'm thinking of buying one within the next year.

I spent a week in an SX 2.0 R/T, with the 150-hp engine and all the performance upgrades, and was thoroughly impressed. Its interior quality is better than some Japanese compacts and has tons of power, albeit not as refined as some of the imports. It handles corners really well too. As far as reliability Chrysler has improved since being taken over by Daimler (Mercedes-Benz). It's priced well too. Compared to the Chevy Cavalier it's a Ferrari, but compared to the Ford Focus it comes up a little short. Only the Ford's lackluster reliability puts it in my bad books. Good luck.

Powerful engine, but not very refined. Not a very enticing engine note.

It's not expensive, though. You get what you pay for. Don't think of it as an inexpensive alternative to japanese compacts, it's a car that's worth less, that's it.

That said, I wouldn't spit on an SRT-4... 230 horsepower! aahh!
