TORONTO, Jan. 9 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. today released pictures of its new 2005 Nissan X-Trail, a unique entry-level sport utility vehicle that will make its North American debut at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Feb. 13-22. The new X-Trail joins an SUV roster that includes the authentic Nissan Xterra, the rugged Pathfinder, the sophisticated Murano and the fully capable full-size Pathfinder Armada. The 2005 X-Trail, which is not available in the United States, will go on sale in Nissan dealerships across Canada this spring.
X-Trail is powered by a 165-horsepower 2.5-litre 16-valve DOHC four-cylinder engine. It produces 170 ft-lbs of torque at 4,000 rpm. Available in front-wheel-drive (FWD) or ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations, X-Trail is offered in three trim levels, well-equipped XE, sporty SE and luxury LE, the latter only available with AWD.
The well-equipped model standard features include: 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS, 16' steel wheels, power windows and door locks, outside temperature display, air conditioning and anti-theft system.
Unique features include: washable cargo floor, warm/cool storage box, dent-resistant front fenders, and ski pass-through.
Optional features available include: heated cloth seats, extra large sunroof, alloy wheels, leather seats, and 6-disc CD changer.
