It's a Mercedes underneath, I can tell by the way the wheels lean into the corner.

But the auto that comes with the 3.5L V6 is strictlyAmerican--designed for leaving it in one gear. Over 10,000 extra to get the German tranny and hemi engine.

So the cheap version squealed its tires (the front tires for a rear-wheel drive?) and ploughed in unforgiving understeer even with the stability control turned off. Hey--no advantage for the RWD--that's why I looked at the car in the first place.

I bet there is a real difference with the Hemi. Who would I drive it knowing the G35 will blow it away in my opinion (with the manual 6speed gearbox of course.

Damn it, BUT the 300 looks so good.

It is based on the last generation E class Mercedes.

I have just tested a Magnum RT and over the next few weeks, I will drive a 300 Limited and a 300C.

The Hemi delivers mad power. And you are right, the car understeers. The front end gets crazy over bumpy roads. I really did not like that. Overall, the ride is nice though.
