Journalist's choice: Chrysler 300 & Dodge Magnum.

Internet viewer poll choice: Mercedes-Benz SmartCar Fortwo

:conf: :conf: :conf:

I find this interesting for two reasons. One, the choices couldn't have been more different, and two, both vehicles are manufactured by the same company!

Any thoughts?

Probably that 99% of the Internet viewers have NOT driven a Fortwo... they might have chosen something else...

Dude!! Again, you are to tough on the smart. I'll admit that the 300 is a little more powerful and roomy... but that's it!

I don't remember so much hoopla and histeria over a car as there is with the 300. As great as it may seem, are all these critics forgetting how unreliable chrysler cars have been? Just wait a year from now and all the quality issues start to come out......
I think cars should be judged on their proven quality and not their "cool factor"

I agree. Chryslers have improved over the last few years though.

The last a car that generated this much excitement was the Mini had just been launched. Before that, the PT Cruiser, the New Beetle, the Neon...

Anyhow, I like the car but I wouldn't want to own one once the warranty is up.

Yeah, people running in the opposite direction when they would lay their eyes on one. Many people were injured when triping over shopping carts and seniors. It was a horrible time...

C'mon! It's got an icebox between the front seats to keep your beer cold!

but does it have a gunrack?

If it doesn't, I don't want one.

Yeah, but it's optional.

.....and alberta!
most of the fad cars look cool at first and get boring quickly. when i first saw a 300 i thought was great. now. ho hum. i'm always amazed at how much better a car looks after you've driven it for 5 years without any problems.

woohoo!

You're right. I'm still phazed when I see a 300 drive by. It just looks so massive and muscular. I've always liked when manufacturers come out with a new and fresh and original design.

yeah damn those azteks...what were they thinking ?! but you know something, the few people who own them seem to love them. i have a buddy who took over the lease on one to fill a gap - it was a cheap pmt.and he said he wouldn't drive it if it wasn't cheap, yet at the maturity of the lease a year and a half later he said its the best vehicle they've ever owned for the family, and he bought it out ! go figger. I will not be sad to see them replaced by the Pontiac Torrent - (equinox platform.)
