Hi,

I was trying to do a 3 point turn, infront of my house. This my Ford ZX2 I GOT IT LIKE A LESS THAN WEEK. The mechanics did a safety test. They also replaced the front brakes pads and rotors, front left wheel bearing and rear break wheel cylinder.

The linkage connecting to the front left wheel came of and as a result the front left wheel lost its ability to steer. I just kicked the wheel back and connected the linkage back to the wheel and parked the car in the garage.

I was wondering does the safety cover this.

Any estimate of the cost it's going to cost me to fix this.

I guess i'm lucky in a way because had it happend elsewhere it would cause a lot of problems for me.

This should have been detected by the safety inspection. I would:
1st: Go back to the garage that did the inspection and ask them about this. Do not get it repaired.

2nd: I would take the car to another garage to have the problem inspected and get an estimate. This way, you will find out what happened.

3rd: Get it fixed based on what you find out. In other words, you may find out that something was "fixed".
