Does anyone drive the Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon? Any comments on this car?
When it comes to repair and parts, does an average auto shop know how to fix this car or does one have to bring it back to the Subaru dealer to do it?

I got the 05' version sport wagon and had it for 20000km. I still find it fun to drive and is so sturdy in bad weather conditions.
When it comes to fixing and maintenance you can take it anywhere, and I have yet to run into any problems. I've had car salesmen telling me that repair cost is way more for a Subaru but generally 4x4 vehicles are more expensive anyways no matter what brand. The engine has some pep and is quite fun but fuel consumption is bad( gas mileage is very close to any v6 fwd cars). I've noticed that the backseat is not very comfortable and fitting 3 people back there is suicide, but I'd still recommend this car to anyone that's considering.
Hope this helps

I am a huge fan of the Impreza, especially the Wagon. In fact, was I to buy a new car, I would spring for one. I enjoy the way the car behaves on the road. The suspension's wheel-travel is huge and because of this, crawling through Montreal streets, regardless of the weather, is like taking a walk in the park. The revised 2.5i H4, with variable valve timing, is actually more powerful and much better on fuel than the 2005.
These cars are robust, reliable and versatile. As far as maintenance costs are concerned, they are slightly higher than a Mazda or a Honda, but well worth it in the long run.
Do it!
