Is anyone able to provide some insight or info? How about someone that can help through all the red tape?

I've read the MTO site and the RIV site, just want to make sure my info is all straight before making the plunge.

The RIV web site is quite complete of information to import in Canada. Everything that you must know is there. It might be seen complicated because there's a lot of steps to follow.

You could go thru a broker if you don't like the administrative stuff but I don't know how much they charge for their services.

Thanks, big block.

I came up with a checklist of about 20 steps or things to check out to get the vehicle purchased, unregistered (US) and re-registered (Canada), tested, certified and licensed.

Not being a fan of red tape I may look to a broker.

Anyone know of a reputable one, and how much it might cost?

Canadians have imported over 150,000 vehicles from the USA in the first 6 months of 2008. The web site www.carswithoutborders.com is quickly becoming the source of reliable import information. Thousand of members have imported and share their experience.
