On my 2003 Accord V6, the back light for the central display (clock/stereo/HVAC) burned out shortly after warranty expired. Everything works, except I can't see anything. The only thing that Honda can do is to take it off, send it out for repair and charge about $300 for it. It takes 2 weeks.
Researching on the Web discovers that Honda US pays for this repair for the customers who complain, even if out of warranty, because it is a common defect. But a call to Honda Canada customer service got the same response as the dealer: I'm out of luck if it's out of warranty.
I think it's a rip off to replace some LED or lightbulb for $300 and it takes two weeks.
Does anyone out there have a better experience than mine?
