I have a 2006 Subaru Legacy Wagon with 17" mag wheels. Can I use 205/55/16 wheels and tires for winter driving, or is there a better option ?

I have a wrx 2006 with summer tires size 215/45/17 and I just bought winter tires (toyo observe garit ht) suppose to be the best on the market today and I use the size :205/55/16 with the winter rims from subaru the multi fit from large compagnies like canadian tires to name one wont fit my car and it will probably the same for your legacy but to be on the safe side ask your subaru dealer and the winter rims from subaru will cost you at the dealer 90 dollars each for a total of 410.22 tax included. good luck and have a safe winter driving with your beautiful legacy

16" wheels and tires should fit. If you have a GT model, it may be that the brakes are larger than a regular Legacy and that only 17" wheels and tire will fit.
