Why did the reviewer chosed different engines on the cars? I could not understand it since hyundai have 3.8 available, Dodge have 3.7, mustang and RX8 have another.

The initial plan was to gather up the following RWD sports coupes:

BMW 135i, 300 hp, $42000
Chevrolet Camaro 1SS, 426 hp, $37000
Dodge Challenger R/T, 375 hp, $37000
Ford Mustang GT, 315 hp, $37000
Hyundai Genesis 3.8 GT, 306 hp, $35000
Mazda RX-8 R3, 238 hp, $42000
Nissan 370Z, 332 hp, $40000

Then, things got ugly logistically. The 135i wasn't available. The Challenger SRT8 was the only version on Chrysler's fleet. The Camaro SS couldn't arrive in time and all GM could provide was a V6 model. The Genesis V6 couldn't arrive in time, so we had to make do with a 2.0T. And since a few manufacturers worked hard to get their cars available on time, and since we had already made the arrangements for the test track and photo shoot location, we decided we couldn't back out.

If we could have access to U.S. press fleets, it would make things a whole lot easier because there are a lot more vehicles to choose from. But in Canada, setting up a comparison test like this is pretty difficult.
