Do i need to get my new 2003 Accord rust proofed + undercoated?
i live in Toronto and they salt the roads a lot during the winter - is it worth doing? I've heard it can void the warranty, trap moisture and block ventilation holes? I can get the service through my honda dealer when i pick the car up thanks alex |

Look at the used car adds. The only Japanese cars around today that are over 10 years old and still look good are rustproofed. My 1993 Subaru Loyale Wagon is rotted out with rust, while I found 3 or 4 of the same age and make that had been rustproofed and there is not a speck of rust on them. A body shop can do the rustproofing for a lot less than the dealer. To make sure that the body is protected, take the car in every fall and get a touch up done.
