Default Honda Civic 2001 - Winter tires required ?

I do very little mileage with the car. It is used basically for shopping and in case of medical emergency. I live in the Montreal area.
My questions : With the types of winter we have now, are winter tires really necessary for this car? How is the traction with new all seasons tires ? Two or four winter tires if they are required ? Your opinion will be appreciated. Thanks.

Default Winter tires

Just having the safety factor for a start I would put snow tires all round, you can never have to much traction in any driving condition. As for all season tires they are OK for the type of winters we get in BC but not for the type of winters you experience.
