Default Firestone tires

There has been a lot of news on the Firestone Tire recall. Ford is blaming Firestone and Firestone is saying that Ford is partly at fault for an unspecified design flaw and recommending too low of a tire pressure (26 psi).
I think Firestone is trying to cover their you know whats. There was a Goodyear tire offered in the 235/75R15 on some Explorers and there has not been any problems with tire seperation reported and the recommend tire pressure was also 26psi.

That's just bad form for Firestone. And i used to be an avid fan of the brand... Lately I've been buying Goodyear. It's just good sense.
