Has anyone in here had this car? Ive heard conflicting reports about it and was wondering how it was from an owners stand point? good quality car or not worth the money?

The Avenger, I agree is not very reliable.

But, over the past couple of years, Chrysler products have improved in the short run. We'll have to see how they do after 5-7 years to see if they really have improved.

hmmmm......i thought the avenger had some mitsu influence from the dcx/mitsu plant in illinois. maybe my memory is broken. don't see many avengers around but they seem to hold their value out here on the wet coast.

The Wet coast? Never heard on that one. Maybe that's why they're ain't many Avengers around...

Actually, As I've read, this car shared some components with the Eagle Talon/Mitsu Eclipse, like the base powertrain (DCX 2.0L Neon engine) and certain parts like the doors.

Depends on the model year. After 1995, I believe the car shares more with the Sebring/Cirrus/Stratus. Regardless, it's not a good car.
