And are you sure its a MazdaSpeed Protegé5 and not MazdaSpeed Protegé ?

I have one like that yellow one but mine is a silver and grey color it the one that they only made 1000 in that color my car is 2003 mazdaspeed protege 5. Very nice car but the clutch is hard to change to 2nd and like it was in a awful strain well i have to take it to a madza dealer and it will cost me about 1,200 too much but i have to take it in to see what it will take so it can be back on the road. What car do you own?
