Looking for 7 passenger vehicles

Hello looking for some feedback here..Currently leasing a van which is up in sept, but now I am thinking of tradering it in sooner which I have done in the past. My trouble is now I am sick of minivans and looking for something out there with the capacity to hold 6-7. As well not sure if I lease with one company can I trade or re lease with a compltely different company.Example ford to nissian etc. Please help little old me..thanks ahead

i assume your currrent mini van lease is up sept 05 ? some companies are offering early termination programs as gmac is right now...but they are only waiving up to 3 remaining pmts on leases maturing up until july 05. if your current lease happened to be worth the current buyout ( unlikely it seems the way the market is )...( and be careful as dealers might say no problem when what they mean is "no problem we'll bury the deficit into a new unit for you") you could probably do something...but more than likely if you want to terminate the lease early you will need to explore having the lease assumed or pay the early termination fee which would be a maximum of the difference between current buyout and end residual ( ie remaining pmts. less unearned interest). as far as vehicles...you live in whitby...surely you must know a few gm execs ? one of them could hook you up with an assumeable lease on a drive and buy unit like an envoy xl ( 7 passenger). i have someone looking to have one assumed out of oshawa in december- 04 envoy xl with leather , dvd, heated seats, bose stereo, etc...$499 tax included assume balance of 48 month lease with no money down. there are a few other smaller sport ute types that clain to be 7 passenger but i think the rear seat people would have to be lilliputians...let me know your situation if you'd like . i'm a dealer in southwestern ontario but have a few dozen customers in whitby/oshawa/port perry etc who work at gm...maybe i could find something for you ?

Now that's a large answer. The only problems is that there are other manufacturers out there. Depending on your budget you can look into the GMs , the Honda Pilot / Acura MDX, Toyota Sequoia, Lexus GX470, Dodge Durango and Nissan Pathfinder Armada.

rivsy is right, they will most likely "transfer" the debt onto the next lease. Find someone to take it over or tough it out.

In all these cases, fuel consumption and insurance costs will increase.

definitely other manufacturers and some great product out there...crosssover type vehicles too which might give some mini van convenience, some utility features, and better fuel economy than the big boys...i mentioned the gm stuff cuz you live in a gm town and there are some great deals to be had ( and cuz i'm stubborn, pigheaded and totally biased :wink: ) by the way the pilot is 19 " shorter than the envoy xl ( which is about the size of an extended minivan), so where do those extra passengers go unless they are gulliver's little buddies ! :shock:

Admitting your illness is the first step towards a cure. :lol:

Certainly those 19 inches will dramatically increase legroom for the 3rd row but I doubt that any adults will ever sit back there.

Also in all these cases, a testdrive is in order.

If you look into the Magnum, forget about headroom, especially in the 2nd row. And I don't think that there is a 3rd row...
