Default Buick LeSabre 'Carbon Filter'

Authorized Buick Dealer recommended replacing 'carbon filter' on my LeSabre (30.000 miles on odometer). I find no reference to said carbon filter in my Owners Manual or on web based maintenance schedules for this vehicle. Just what is a carbon filter? Does it require replacement of is this a dealer service gimmick? Estimated cost to replace was quoted at $65.00. Appreciate any info or comments.

I'm thinking that they mean a charcoal filter in the canister. It could use replacement but I think 30 000 miles is a little soon. Check in your owner's manual for that one. Let me know what you find...
