I am looking at replacing my 1992 Buick Regal limited however I'm not sure what a fare price would be for a trade in. It has less almost 136,000 km and the body needs some work. Would $2000 - $3000 be too much to expect?

Simply to be sure: As a dealer trade in.
In the Greater Montreal area, as a trade in, your Regal would not fetch more than $1,000. If they gave you more money, they would simply hike up the purchase price of the new car. It is possible that in Winnipeg that a Regal has a better resale value however $3,000 sounds very high. If you would really like that kind of money, try and sell your car privately.

unless you are having problems, keep driving it. if its in good condition you'll likely won't get its true value. with a private sale, folks coming to look will more likely be GM guys and may give you a decent buck for it.
good luck! |
