I agree. Even this one is beautiful when compared:

Some of AMC's greatest (sic) designs:

AMC Marlin

AMC Javelin

AMC Eagle

In the mid 70's the Pinto was a nice looking for its class
The Eagle was out to soon for the public, no one look at AWD in the 70's, it would be a big hit today

You are right, nobody was into AWD or 4WD back in the day unless it was attached to a truck.

The Zagato Autech Stelvio gets my vote.

Damn ugly car for something in the late late 80's/early 90's.

The other cars looked ok for their generations.

I wouldn't be too quick to write off "ugly cars". A lot of these vehicles get scapped because nobody loves them, and then years later they become collector items because of their rarity value.

Have you seen how much money changes hands for a two stroke Trabant nowadays??

Mind you, after saying that, some designers of the past "should have been brain transplant candidates"

P.S. What's that nice little Pacer doing in there? I took my first test in Canada in one exactly like that, it even had the woody side panels. Lovely car that!
