Default Measuring tire tread

what is the safe measurement.

IIRC, the legal limit for tread depth is 2/32".

IIRC as well, stick a nickel in the tread, with the queen's crown facing down into the tread. If you can see the top of her crown, you need new tyres.

You can also look at the wear bars. When looking into the grooves, you will find a small bar that crosses the groove. The moment you are very close to it or that you find that it is flush with the rest of the tire, it is time to change them.
