Is there any problem with installing a remote starter on a Buick with a security system ( resister chip in key )

Good question.

If you have GM's PassLock or PASSKEY, I would probably ask a professional to do the installation. These systems are complex and I believe that this is one of the reasons why GM sells their own remote starters.
