Default 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - timing belt?

I have a 2001 Jeep G/Ch with 104,000 kms on it and was wondering if anyone knows if the 4.0 ltr engine has a timing belt and if so, does it need to be changed?

Nobody seems to be able to know....so far.

Thanks

I would be very surprised to learn that Jeep 6 or 8 cylinder has a belt instead of a chain. You're dealer should be able to tell you exactly what needs to be done.

A chain usually only requires an inspection at around 100 000 km.
