Default Where is a good place in Montreal to inspect a used Focus?

Hi there,

I'm about to buy a used Ford Focus S/W (2003) and would like to get it checked out before buying it. Can anyone recommend a good place (or mechanic) that can check it out thoroughly? What are the other steps I should do before buying this to make sure it's not a lemon?

Thanks,

Are you sure you want a Focus? Check out the number of recalls on these cars....I believe it's a record. My cousin and her husband biught one in 2004 and after a few months they sold it, lost money and bought a Honda which they are happy with. "Google" recalls, Ford Focus, remember to look for long term owners reports. Go to Toyota Canada, "Vehicles" then appraise my trade... see what a 2003 Focus comes in at. Good Luck
