Default 2002 Mazda Protege

 Does anyone know anything about 2002 Mazda Protege's? I purchased one at the end of January. It had 69,000 km's. It is now at 72,000. I recently noticed that there was sopots of oil under the car when I leave the drive way. I took it in for an oil change and told the mechanic about the oil. I find out that the head gasket is leaking and has to be replaced. Why would the head gasket be leaking at such low miles. Also when I purchased the car I found out that the cam seals had all ready been replaced. Did I really buy a lemon or di someone drive the snot out uf it when they owned it. It was a Mazda buy back.
