Default Purchasibg used vehicles

When you purchase a used vehicle from a dealership, how long do you usually have to return the car?

You do not have any time to return the car. This is an old wife's tale.

Hopefully, you had the car inspected before you bought it (regardless of where you bought it). This way, should you find yourself in front of a Judge, you will be able to prove that you were careful when purchasing a used car.
If the dealer gave you their inspection form of the car, this would help considerably if you do not have the former. I would take the car to a trusty independent garage to get an estimate for the price of the repair.

Once you have this in hand, approach the seller and try to come to an agreement. If this does not work and you are able to prove that this was a latent defect, you may have to consider taking the seller to court.

I would also recommed that you concentrate on the problem at hand and not trying to cancel the sales contract. This is, unless the car is in horrible condition.
