I am looking at selling this SUV and would like to get feedback on it's approximate retail value. It is the 2005 re-designed Pathfinder model. It is the SE trim package with the SE Premium Package which adds the auto on/off headlights, power tilt/slide sunroof, Bose audio, 6 in-dash cd, 9 speakers, audio steering controls, Homelink universal opener, side-impact airbags and roof-mounted airbags for all 3 passenger rows. Other features for the truck include - dealer installed Polar remote starter, front hood protector, extended warranty to 6 yrs/160kms, replacement insurance policy till Oct 2009. The SUV is pretty loaded with some very nice extra's that are transferable to someone who is looking at getting into a SUV or Pathfinder.
The only problem I am having with it is a vibration in the wheels when I am driving at 130kms of speed or higher - read my posting in the Miscellaneous section of Forum - but because I'm still under warranty, Nissan covers most, if not all of the problems that come up with the truck. So far after 20 months, and 41,000kms, this has been the only glitch. Your feedback on the resale value according to black or red book - the retail version - I can never remember which it is - would be appeciated. |

Retail is the red, Dealer trade is the black. The black book is available online on almost manufacturer website. So for the retail value, take the black book + few thousands. I did not check but probably your truck is probably listed around 25000-30000$. I saw some dealers giving 4000-5000$ discount on 2006 models already.
Good luck! |

Hey Big_ Block - Thanks for setting me straight on those colours. I think I'll need some luck to sell an SUV with gas prices being what they are. But when you look at the Pathfinder, for it's large size and it's 270 horses, I'm getting 12.7 litres/100kilometers combined which is not to bad for an SUV. As well, the manufacturer recommends premium but I have never put premium beyond my 3rd tank full and there has been zero change in performance, no power reduction, no engine knocking, nothing.
The dealer will give me $26,500 to get out of my lease today. I figure I can sell it at retail for $30,000ish. Thanks for your help on this. |
