Did you guys hear about Ford and what they want to do with the Mustang?
"On the Ford front, AutoWeek reveals the company's plan to take the Mustang mainstream. Ideas include both sedan and wagon variants of America's original muscle car, with those cars joining the traditional coupe when the sixth- generation Mustang arrives in U.S. showrooms in 2011." From the PRNewswire. The Mustang is sacred!! They can't do this! What if GM mad a Corvette wagon? How crazy would that be?? What do you guys think?

Wait a minute! this is a joke...isn't it?
It's a late April fools gag...surely! If not, I call for a quick vist to the Ford office by the DEA, because those Ford exec's are puffing far too much whacky backy... they have to be, as they are floating in La La Land for sure. If this carries on, I foresee a new feature being available on all Ford models...dash mounted potato chip dispensers :-) |

I just had a thought...what are they going to call this new Mustang Wagon?
My suggestions are... the Mulestang, or maybe the Mustang Packhorse. No wait a minute...the Mustang Donkey! or if that's too long...They can simply call it "The Mustang A##" :-) That would be perfect... you could then buy the current "Bad A##" Mustang, or if you prefer... a "bad" A## Mustang :-) Come on guys, we can help Ford think up a name for this new gem of a vehicle, post your ideas on what it should be called. |

I don't know why but all this talk about Donkeys made me think of this picture:

Picture #1 ...Someone should tell those people that "it's not nice to put your a## in the air for all the world to see"!
Picture #2 & 3 ...Yeah! back to the good old days when you could accesorize your car by simply going to Home Depot! Another thing which amazes me about those days was the fact that people would take a nice wooden boat and paint it. Then they'd take a metal car and make it look like its made of wood! It's just another example of the amount of drugs that were taken by folk back in the 60's and 70's. :-) |

Quote:
Here is the latest: "Ford Motor Co. today denied a report by Automotive News' sister publication AutoWeek, and published on the Automotive News Web site, that the automaker would expand the Mustang brand beyond its traditional role as a single performance figurehead into a complete range of global models." So I guess this may have been pre-mature... Thank God !

I only know what I've heard about the 60"s and the drug scene.
If you want to know more, maybe you should ask the guys over at Autoweek... They must have been having "one crazy late night editorial brainstorming session" when they came up with that story :-) Still, I'm glad that it isn't true, just think... We would have had to drive and review that mustang wagon! To be honest, I don't know if I could have done that... my friends and people on the street might have thought that I'd purchased it! I've driven some weird new cars in my time, but if the day comes when I have to drive a Mustang wagon...I think that's the day to retire :-) |

I know what you mean about strange new cars...
Every one on my block was sick for a week when they saw me arrive with this...

I don't blame them!
That kind of vehicle is the reason why I always carry a brown paper bag. No, not to hand out to those who feel a bit woozey, it's for me to put over my head whilst driving so that nobody reconizes me :-) That photo of yours really is "something else". Who did you upset at GM, to be given a "thing" like that to drive. Never mind, at least when you handed it back, it raised the property prices in your area :-) |

Is it really that unbelieveable?
Although its a horrible idea that makes me cringe, some folks were just as appalled at the 4-door Charger setup, or the Front-wheel drive Impala when it came out. Still though, a Mustang Wagon...thats like...low calorie beer or something equally as silly.
