Customers signing up for the Nissan GT-R will be invited to Race Academy events this summer at Silverstone or the Nurburgring for an initial taster of life with their new car - even though UK deliveries of the GT-R will not start until next spring.
The Academy participants will get one-to-one tuition and track time in Nissan's own fleet of GT-Rs, as well as the chance to do some drifting in a 350Z.
These events will take place in August and September, and participants will be able to go on and obtain a racing licence - in time to take delivery of their own car. More than 1000 orders have now been taken for the GT-R in the UK, with RHD cars arriving on sale in March 2009.
