The Jeep Compass is like the little kid who looks up to his big brother and wants to be exactly like him. However, aspiring to be a grown-up and acting like one are two different things. If both do not go hand in hand, there's something missing. In the case of the Compass, it's a big something: this vehicle has the looks of a Jeep but not the capabilities that have made the brand famous

wrangler has a choppy ride ,both in the city and in the country.the mileage i hope will improve with miles driven. with the backseat up rear cargo room is at a premium . 3.8liter engine has lots of power. would be nice if it had a better tilt steering wheel. radio is great . style of thevehicle is very nice. wehave only 500kmonit. the automatic shifter is alittle too far to the right . you feel like you are reaching for it .guage cluster is okay.seats are comfortable.acess to rear seat is very awkward to accomplish. i will keep you posted on how i feel after more kms.

hi ya all,all you guys journalist sometimes i hate the way you test some cars, for example on the jeep compass why do you guys always condemne the CVT tranny in cars of affordable price but don't say nothing bad about cvt in exp:the murano which cost a lot more than a compass or a caliber,do you have a favorite company or what?i have a 2009 caliber cvt and it's a very somoth tranny and effective.after a few miles getting used to it,it's on of the best tranny around, why do you think all hybrid cars are moving to CVT tranny.so people do or don't like the tranny and love it that's all there is to it.so stop running this tranny down it's the tranny of the future, when you test cars think of the poor people who buy cheap new cars it's the only type of car they can afford, not all people have your budget to test and buy cars like BMW OR MERCEDES ,so please a little indulgences for us viewers you tester guys.

A CVT transmission is better suited to bigger engines with more low-rpm torque. The result is that under average throttle inputs, the CVT won't rev the engine near its redline in a V6, so the engine is quieter. What doesn't help is that the Chrysler 2.4-litre engine is noisy at wide-open throttle, but under normal driving conditions, it's better.
