Infiniti celebrates 20 years of inspiration and innovation

These words, which encapsulate the vision behind Infiniti's Inspired Performance, could have been written last year, last month or even today. Yet their origin is nearly 20 years ago, penned in reference to the new luxury performance brand that had first opened for business on November 8, 1989 with just 51 retailers and two models sharing the decidedly different looking showrooms.

Infiniti confirms M35 Hybrid production

Infiniti today confirmed that its first production hybrid vehicle will be part of the recently announced line of 2011 Infiniti M luxury performance sedans, which are scheduled to go on sale in spring 2010 at Infiniti dealers nationwide. The Infiniti M35 hybrid is expected to arrive about 12 months later as a 2012 model. It is Infiniti's first hybrid in its 20-year existence, as well as the cleanest and most economical car in Infiniti's history.

Mr. Carlos Ghosn, President and CEO, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., announced at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show that Infiniti plans to introduce an electric vehicle - one that will be true to the Infiniti brand's promise of "Inspired Performance."

With studies showing that up to half of all computer owners give their personal computers a custom treatment, Infiniti has teamed with Microsoft Corporation to provide Infiniti-inspired backgrounds, slide shows, screen savers and color customisation as part of the new Windows 7 Desktop Theme Gallery.
