Mazda : Past & Present
Instituted in 1920 under the name "Toyo Cork Kogyo Co. Ltd", this Japanese automaker’s Canadian division began selling cars in 1968. With a dealer network that now includes 163 showrooms, Mazda Canada is able to offer consumers across the country a wide selection of models comprised of two sedans (Mazda3, Mazda6)), two popular sports cars (MX5, RX8.), two crossovers (CX7), CX9), a traditional SUV (Tribute), a minivan (Mazda5) and a compact pickup truck (Serie B).

Back in 2004 and shortly after the Mazda 6 hit the market, it seemed like buying one was a pretty foolproof choice. In addition to capitalizing on a great new styling language, the sporty sedan and wagon from the alternative Japanese manufacturer began winning awards from international press and industry authorities in a big way. The 6 had arrived--and it was a sporty, nicely styled and fun-to-drive machine that made the Accord and Camry look downright boring.
