I found the single dash-mounted CD-player a bit of a pain and would rather Toyota supply a multi-disc player up front where it would be more accessible. Speaking of not being accessible the rear seats are only for children or very small adults, but for those of us with kids they're absolutely necessary. With that in mind my 10 year old daughter didn't complain of a lack of space and I was able to fit in a full-size child seat so my little guy could come out for a quick spin around the block - speed is in the genes.

While rapid acceleration is fun I'm also a stickler for tactile quality. Those who appreciate a car made with better than average materials and superior fit and finish will like the Celica. All of the switchgear clicks with purposeful response to input while it's intuitively placed throughout the cabin. The orange on black instrument cluster is easy to read in bright sunlight or the black of night and comes complete with a large tachometer, speedometer, fuel and temperature gauges plus a bevy of warning lights.

After a week with the Celica GT-S it's hard not to fall in love with it. From its stellar exterior styling to its quality workmanship, its adrenaline inducing performance to its respected reliability, the little Toyota is a rare machine, and will always hold a special place in my heart.
