Pros: Newly redesigned and upgrade, the 2015 A3 is still everything we’ve come to know and love about the A3, and more.

Cons: The cloth top isn’t everyone’s cup of tea as it cuts the line of the car and will require special care in colder months and for longevity. Also, the A3 Cabriolet is only available with an automatic transmission and not available as a TDI.

2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet Price and Fuel Economy: Trim lines are your only option when it comes to the 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet. There are three to choose from and the pricing is as follows:

2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet Komfort $41,900
2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet Progressiv $44,400
2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet Technik $48,200

Since the engine and transmission remains the same across the board, the fuel efficiency numbers are identical regardless of trim. In the city, the 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet should average 10.1L/100km, and on the highway that number climbs to 7.5L/100km. Not bad for a vehicle that will do 0-100km/hr in 6.3 seconds.

Powertrain: Speaking of power, the 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet is equipped with the same engine found in the sedan version, a new 2.0L TFSI turbocharged unit good for 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

All models feature Audi’s S tronic 6-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels via Audi’s renowned Quattro AWD system.

The power-retractable automatic acoustic roof takes just 17 seconds to open and 18 to close. The roof’s three-layer design ensures exterior noise and cold air don’t penetrate the cabin.

Changes and Improvements: The 2015 Audi A3 is all-new inside and out. With a brand new exterior look that pushes it into the grown-up league with other compact sedans in the class, as well as new interior touches such as a new HDMI and centre stack look, the Audi A3 Cabriolet features futuristic amenities and a stylish look.

And while the A3 Sedan was made available earlier this year, the Cabriolet is brand new and only just beginning to emerge in showrooms and in driveways.

Cargo Capacity: The 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet offers up 320L of cargo space in the trunk with the roof up. That number drops to 275L once you retract the top.

Safety: The 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet comes equipped with all manner of standard safety features and airbags, as well as safety belt automatic pretensioning with force limiters, ABS, and ESC.

Comparing the 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet: Volkswagen Eos, Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, BMW M4 Cabriolet, Infiniti Q60 Cabriolet, Lexus IS C.
