With two engines and three different transmission options, there are quite a few fuel ratings to be had with the 2015 Jeep Patriot. However, they range from 10.2-11.7L/100km in the city and 7.8-10.3L/100km on the highway.
Powertrain: As mentioned above, there are two engine choices, however, only the base Patriot Sport has the option of either, the remaining three models have the larger engine.
The 2.0L dual VVT is the second engine available in the Sport, and it’s good for 158 horsepower and 141 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, but an automatic is available.
The 2.4L engine pushes out 172 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque and can be coupled with a choice of three different transmissions: a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed PowerTech automatic (standard on Limited, High Altitude, and North Edition; optional on Sport) or a Traile Rated CVT2 (only available on 4x4 models).
If a 4x4 package is not selected, power is sent to the front wheels.
Changes and Improvements: Since its facelift in 2011, the Jeep Patriot has seen no major changes or improvements.
Cargo Capacity: The 2015 Jeep Patriot can seat five, but it you fold the rear seats down (and nix the passengers) you’re looking at 1,515L of cargo space.
