The FCV Concept’s world premier was held in Japan on November 17th of this year. At the upcoming 2015 edition of the North American International Auto Show, journalists and consumers alike will be able to eyeball the real thing for the first time.

This concept demonstrates Honda’s future production fuel cell vehicle’s stylistic evolution. The final FCV is slated to launch in Japan in the spring of 2016 after which it will arrive in the US. No official dates are yet set for the NA market.

Wide and low, the production FCV will accommodate up to 5 passengers according to Honda. The cabin will be larger with plenty of storage space. The car’s estimated range will be more than 300 miles (480 km) on one tank of hydrogen.

You may remember Honda’s FCX concept from over a decade ago. The FCX set the stage for all future fuel cell vehicles as it was the first of its kind back in 2002.
