Rookie Ty Dillon has won the ARCA Racing Series’ 3 Amigos 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway by beating veteran Frank Kimmel in the last corners of the race.
For Dillon, it was a third win in the 5 events in which he had started in ARCA after winning the pole on Friday.
The 3 Amigos 250 was supposed to be presented the same day but it was postponed to Saturday because of the severe weather in Alabama.
The Richard Childress protégé finished in front of Frank Kimmel who has never won a race at the Talladega. Bobby Gerhart, Brett Hudson and Chris Buescher completed the top 5 of the day.
Canadian Dodge driver Maryeve Dufault came back all the way from 39th to finish 12th after being penalized because her car failed the post qualifying inspection. She had qualified third.
The ARCA Racing Series will be back in action May 1st at the Salem Speedway in Indiana.
