Not that long ago, Chrysler surprised the planet with its great new ad campaign dubbed “Imported from Detroit,” which premiered during the Super Bowl and featured Detroit native Eminem and his song “Lose Yourself”.

A moment of pure creative genius that set the American automaker apart and gives viewers goose bumps every time they watch it (that’s still our case, anyways). Looking to make similar waves, Audi seems to have decided to use the same concept to boost sales of the 2012 A6 Avant.

Audi evidently managed to duplicate the ad, a little too well for Eminem and Eight Mile Style, the publisher of Eminem’s copyrights.

So Audi is currently being sued in Germany for copyright violation and illegally using the same song as the Chrysler ad. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but Eminem probably doesn’t feel that way.

If you were the judge in this case, would you decide in favour of Audi or the rapper?
