If you're marked for death and have a lot of money, we've got a car for you. It's called the S600 Guard Pullman Limousine- a Mercedes Benz model built off the same platform as the extended wheelbase S600, though substantially longer. It's so long, in fact, that the 4 rear-seat occupants can sit down facing one another.
The Pullman Limousine features the latest in high-tech protection for its occupants, including resistance to military small arms, hand grenade shrapnel and land mines. It rolls on run flat tires, and even has a built-in fire suppression system. There's a self-sealing fuel tank too, which is important- though even a gaping bullet hole might not drain it as quickly as the twin-turbo V-12 engine it feeds. It's a 5.5 liter unit which creates nearly 520 horsepower. Mercedes says the likes of Monarchs, heads of state and royalty the world over have been enjoying the peace of mind provided by its armored cars for some 80 years. The latest generation model can be customized almost infinitely to meet an extremely wide variety of customer demands, including "unusual" ones. There is a large selection of paint finishes, woods, leathers and other interior options available, and the limousine can be serviced at any Mercedes dealership. The first Pullman limousines are set for delivery late next year. Photos: Mercedes-Benz
