The manufacturer has announced pricing on its Ram 1500 pickup, completely revamped for 2009. Good news for consumers, who will have to shell out $2,000 less compared to the 2008 model.
The new generation of Rams will come in 23 different configurations. Buyers will have a choice between three cabs (regular, quad and crew), three box lengths (1,700 mm, 1,930 mm and 2,438 mm) and four equipment packages (ST, SLT, Sport and Laramie). Prices vary from $25,995 for the Ram ST 2RM with regular cab and 1,930 mm box and $45,490 for the Ram Laramie 4RM with crew cab and 1,700 mm box. Transport and preparation fees are an extra $1,350.
The 2009 Ram can be outfitted with three engines: a 3.7-litre V6 producing 210 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque, a 4.7-litre V8 putting out 310 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque and a 5.7-litre V8 HEMI producing 390 hp and 407 lb-ft of torque.
The 2009 Dodge Ram will go on sale this fall.
