Here is a selection of photos from the opening round of the 2012 DTM series held last weekend at the Hockenheimring in Germany.
Mercedes driver Gary Paffett won the race, driving a C-Coupe. He beat his teammate Jamie Green. An impressive crowd of 147,000 spectators attended the three days of the event held in fine weather.
