International driving event at Mosport plays host to 350 Porsche prospects
Press release

MISSISSAUGA
- The Porsche World Roadshow, a driving event designed to give potential customers the opportunity to drive the full range of Porsche models, launched today at Mosport International Raceway, just outside of Toronto. Over nine days, more than 350 prospects from around the country will participate in challenging driving exercises that demonstrate the on- and off-road ability of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs.

Selected for the exclusive, invitation-only event by Canada's 12 Porsche Centres, prospects are treated to a first-class experience. Out-of-town visitors attend a reception and dinner at the landmark Senses restaurant in downtown Toronto and an overnight stay at the five-star SoHo Metropolitan hotel.

At the track, challenging driving exercises, including high-speed lane change, autocross, racetrack laps and off-road tours show off the race-bred ability of Porsche vehicles. Other facets of the day-long program include a workshop on Porsche philosophy and history and a session where prospects learn about the incredible opportunities to "custom-build" the Porsche of their dreams, via the company's Exclusive tailoring program.

"The Porsche World Roadshow is a large, ambitious event, but we believe it is a very effective use of our marketing dollars," said Jasmin Rawlinson, Porsche Canada's Director of Marketing. "Experience with the Roadshow in other countries has proven the best way to sell Porsches is to put people behind the wheel. This way, they experience for themselves just what makes our vehicles so special."

An international team of instructors, led by Ruedi Schwarz and featuring Canadian ex-Porsche factory pilot Kees Nierop, guides up to 40 prospects a day through the exercises and give "hot laps" at speed at the end of each day, leaving prospects on an incredible high.

The Porsche World Roadshow runs at Mosport International Raceway until April 23.
