Although we saw the “concept” in Paris, we’ve got new pictures of a pre-production X1 prototype –camo-free – proving the design elements closely resemble the concept’s and it’s quickly gearing up for production.
Based on the new 1 Series, but taller and stockier, the new mini “SAV” will arrive during the 2010 calendar year with full-time four-wheel drive and all the normal BMW bells-and-whistles.
Size-wise, this miniature X3 is supposed to be comparable to Toyota’s RAV4 – and will actually be sharing components with the upcoming Mini Crossman.
