In 1927, General Motors became the first automaker to create a dedicated automotive design team. Eighty-five years later this month, GM will pay tribute to the 1,900 current employees at his 10 global design centres around the world.
''Our global team is united around its passion for designing vehicles that make an emotional connection with customers,'' said Ed Welburn, vice president, Global Design. ''What was true 85 years ago is still true today.''
