IndyCar: Legge on the verge of making a comeback

Former Atlantic Series alumni and Champ Car driver Katherine Legge is about to sign a multi-year with an IndyCar team to make a comeback into the North American motorsports scene for the 2012 season.

According to reports, the former DTM driver has secured sponsorship for a full-time ride with a team to be determined later this week. Her deal with this squad will be for two years with an option for a third.

Back in her Champ Car years, the English driver drove for PKV racing in 2006 before switching to Dale Coyne Racing in 2007.

Then, the 31-year old driver participated in the German Touting Car Championship (DTM) from 2008 until 2010.
