Two designers at Yanko Design have just come up with a clever way to tell if your tires are too worn out to drive -- just look at their colour!
The idea is simple: A layer of bright orange rubber is inserted into the compound so that at the end of the tire's useful life (when the tread wears out), drivers get a clear visual reminder to go and buy new ones.
