2007 Saturn Aura Green Line Road Test
Monday, November 12, 2007
We see more and more of them on the roads. Hybrid vehicles are taking over! These environmentally- friendly machines combine two energy sources: gasoline and electricity. Following in the footsteps of Toyota and Honda, who pioneered the hybrid segment by investing unfathomable amounts in R&D, Japanese and American automakers are introducing their own "green" vehicles. The latest to come to market is the Aura Green Line from Saturn, a brand that was initially launched in North America to counter the Japanese invasion.

2007 Saturn Aura Road Test

Other than the Corvette, Sky and Solstice, few GM products have made such a splash upon arriving on the new car scene as the Aura did. In only a few short months, it picked up number of awards including car of the year at the North American International Auto Show. Why all the confetti and party favors? Simple, the Aura is a revolution in GM's line-up of midsize family cars.

2007 Saturn Aura XR Road Test
Saturday, March 10, 2007
In my entire career of auto journalist, I've never been truly impressed by a Saturn. Sure, there were some bright spots, particularly in terms of design with the gorgeous Sky, but that's it. When it comes to dynamics, powertrain or interior layout, Saturn simply cannot get the job done, let alone exceeding my expectations.

2007 Saturn Aura XR Sedan Road Test
Sunday, January 21, 2007
In the past, whenever I've thought of Saturn, my mind conjured up visions of a slightly "peculiar" company who cover their vehicles in plastic body amour, and whose sales force was totally unwilling to haggle over the price of an automobile. Call me old-fashioned, but I've always seen them in a similar way to which I might look at Feng Shui. It's all right for some, if you like that sort of thing, but not for me, I'm afraid. You see, I like to polish "real metal", and I almost enjoy the fun of the car buying game, as it brings out the "market trader" in me.
