2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe First Impressions
Friday, May 27, 2011
SEVILLE, Spain - I asked in my First Impressions article on the debut of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe whether there would be blood in the water now that Mercedes has taken a dive into the shark tank of coupes. I concluded that if there were to be blood in the water, unlikely it would be tri-star red.

2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class First Impressions
Thursday, March 24, 2011
Tenerife, Spain. When you take a quick look at the 2012 C-Class, it would be very easy to say that only the rouge and lipstick had been changed. After all, only the front and rear fascias have been noticeably altered to make a sleeker (Cd of drag is down to 0.26), more powerful-looking car that is still distinctively a Mercedes. In between and underneath the front and back, components such as the hood, front fenders and door modules have been replaced with aluminum to reduce weight and improve fuel economy.

2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Review
Tuesday, August 26, 2008
A 3,600-pound bundle of steel propelled by 443 lb-ft of torque decked out in a lovely sedan outfit, that's the secret behind the C63 AMG. This division of Mercedes-Benz has all the know-how required to produce überpowerful cars. It's not surprising that the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) is so popular. It's the European version of NASCAR only better, because you can actually buy these incredible cars, or almost anyways. Here, on the contrary, a rear-wheel-drive Toyota Camry V8 can only be found trackside.

The three-point silver star used to be synonymous with supreme excellence. However, over the last few years, it seems to have lost some of its legendary luster. Mercedes-Benz is trying just about anything to regain the trust of consumers with regard to reliability. Quality levels have been significantly improved, though the company's image still suffers.

2008 Mercedes-Benz C230 4MATIC Review
Friday, May 16, 2008
Do you own a computer? If you're reading this, I'm pretty sure you do. You probably don't know how to use most of the features in your word processor and spreadsheet software, but that's okay; neither do I. There's no use learning functions we'll never need, don't we? So why pay for them if we'll never use them? Well, consider the new C230 sedan as the C-Class Lite. Pay for the good stuff, not for the superfluous stuff.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG ready for launch
Thursday, April 24, 2008
Here's a twisted idea: take an elegant Mercedes C Class sedan and stuff an enormous V8 engine under the hood. That's the concept behind the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, which arrived on the Mercedes Benz Canadian website this weekend. The C63 is the entry-level AMG vehicle in the North American marketplace, specially tuned by the German manufacturer's go-fast gurus. The 6.2 liter V8 engine installed makes 451 horsepower in this application, bettering the output of competition like the Audi RS4, BMW M3 and upcoming Lexus IS-F. It cranks the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic with shift-paddles.

2007 Mercedes-Benz C280 Avantgarde 4MATIC Road Test
Sunday, March 25, 2007
Mercedes-Benz and its C-Class can trace their roots way back to 1886. This was the year that Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz literally invented the automobile albeit separately. Mr Benz had acquired a vast amount of wealth thanks to the two-stroke gas engine he had developed in 1879/80. So much so, that from 1883 on, he concentrated solely on creating a motorised road-going vehicle. He obviously succeeded in his endeavour and was awarded the Benz Patent Motor Car No. 1.

2008 Mercedes C-Class First Impressions

Valencia, Spain. Often times when something is good for you, it does not taste good. Take some vegetables for example, they deliver all the necessary vitamins to help you lead a healthy lifestyle but our taste-buds do not always appreciate what they are coming into contact with. It can be very different for fruit. They taste sweet and transfer the good stuff when ingested. I would call a fruit a no-compromise vessel of goodness. Valencia is famous for its oranges. Oranges are delicious and a part of a healthy diet. Perhaps the German car-maker was attempting to draw a parallel between the car and the fruit...

I was on the road course next to the California Speedway, in Fontana last week, living out a car enthusiasts dream. I learned the track with the completely new Porsche Boxster, before moving up to a Tiptronic-equipped 911 Cabriolet. After that I did an autocross course in the new 911 Carrera S coupe, followed up by a run in the droptop version back on the race track. Finishing off the ideal sports car progression was the pièce de résistance, a gorgeous, all-powerful Carrera GT.

DRIVING A MERCEDES-BENZ IN WINTER
Thursday, November 15, 2001
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class was well described by many journalists lately including myself. But there is nothing that gives you a better impression than driving a car for a week or more under more ?normal? situations. That is why I took a base 2.6-liter 168 horsepower V6 powered C240 last fall (a standard shift car with cloth interior that I loved) and recently, I picked up a more luxurious C320 with a more powerful 215 horsepower 3.2-liter V6 engine.
