The Infiniti G37 Art Car, created to commemorate Infiniti's 20th anniversary, fulfilled its mandate to benefit a worthy cause by drawing a winning bid of $55,000 at a private auction for ONE DROP which kicked off at the spectacular Masquerave event in Whistler Nov. 12.

Roush and Shelby create SR-71 Charity Mustang

Yet another version of the Ford Mustang is hitting the streets. This time, it's a first-ever collaboration between Roush and Shelby that results in a one-of-a-kind 2011 Mustang, called the SR-71. Inspired by the SR-71 Blackbird, a USAF long-range reconnaissance aircraft built by Lockheed Martin, this Mustang will be hand-built in Michigan by Roush.

2010 NAIAS Preview Raises $2 Million for Children's Charities

DETROIT, - The 2010 North American International Auto Show Charity Preview black tie gala, one of the top single-night fundraising events in the nation, opened its doors to nearly 8,500 guests, raising more then $2 million for 12 local children's charities. This year, ticket sales represent a more than 25 percent increase over tickets sold in 2009.

Montreal, QC - The Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) Charity Preview evening, which took place January 14, 2010, helped raise $361,119.24 to benefit five (5) worthy causes within the Greater Montreal's medical community: Fondation du CHUM, Montréal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation, MUHC - McGill University Health Centre Foundation, Pierre-Boucher Hospital Foundation and Santa Cabrini Foundation. This fund raising event was presented by the Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation Foundation and the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

General Motors Foundation Donates $100,000 to Haiti Relief Effort

The General Motors Foundation today approved an immediate $100,000 contribution to the American Red Cross relief fund to help earthquake-stricken Haiti. GM also has provided a direct web-link that employees can conveniently access from their desktop work stations to contribute personally to the Red Cross disaster fund.

Nissan Canada has just donated 70 laptop computers, 128 office computers and 136 monitors, worth over $70,000 in all, to World Computer Exchange, an international non-profit organization. Nissan's donation will benefit not only students and orphanage residents in a developing African country but the environment as well, as the computer equipment will not be ending up in dump somewhere.

Cadillac's 2009 CTS-V has just done it's one and only though, benefitting the Prostate Cancer Foundation by earning a winning bid of $75,000 at a special charity auction last night. Cano Ozgener is the CTS-V's happy new owner, and the founder of CAO International, a premium cigar producer.

Chrysler LLC recently auctioned off the first 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 for a whopping $400,000. Proceeds were donated to notMYkid once the auctioning was completed at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction last week. notMYkid is a group dedicated to helping kids deal with adolescent behavioral health issues. They also teach parents, teachers and communities to identify warning signs and symptoms of these behavioral issues- helping to enable quick and proper diagnosis.

Nissan Employees raise funds for charity

Nissan employees in the Montreal area proudly donated $6,000 to Sun Youth Organization (SYO) yesterday. SYO is a local charity group focused on being a source of warmth, guidance and support for a large number of families. It was started over 50 years ago by a group of youths from the St. Lawrence Blvd. area, as it was then called. The organization currently offers services including a food and clothing bank, recreation centre and seniors club.
